This was my first urban family session. And I really enjoyed it!

Meet Joe & his 3 daughters. For being an overcast, chilly Fall afternoon they brought such great smiles. I love this first one, but the family bond & closeness that is shown in the 2nd one makes it a favorite too.

I'm working on 3 mini sessions from the pumpkin patch and they all will hopefully be rolling to the blog and galleries today!

First up is a little girl that I have had the pleasure of photographing 3 times. We originally met at the pumpkin patch last year. She was so cute then and at her fairy session, I could wait to meet up with her again. This time she brought along her big brother to be photographed with her. Both are just great kids and hope to continue to watch them grow into adulthood.

Meet Colleen

This is Colleen. She's going to be my assistant during the Fall season and will be accompanying me to all of the sessions, as well as the pumpkin patch. Colleen is great with kids and I think she's going to be the perfect assistant to help me. I can't wait for all of you that have booked sessions to meet her.

We had a blast during her portrait session. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time!

She loves to cook and wants to go to culinary school. To me that sounds like a lot of fun and I hope she does it. She also blogs recipes, here.

I'm totally exhausted and ready to crash but wanted to hop on here real quick and release my Fall Family Sessions dates. The super special package option and add-ons will be announced in the next couple days. My two year old has decided that she no longer likes to nap until 4 pm (when she crashes) and then doesn't want to actually go to bed until 9 pm. Her awake schedule is cutting into my work schedule!

I am only offering 12 family sessions this year, so be sure to email or call me or fill out the form here. These sessions are booked based on who chooses what date first. Check your calendars and then contact me early to ensure you will get the date of your choice.

More information on session types
This year I am offering mini sessions, as well as regular sessions, for family portraits. Either of these sessions are great options! I am offering a Christmas Magic package for the family portrait sessions. This package includes a variety of print sizes and comes with the option of adding on custom designed holiday cards or one digital image to use for your holiday cards. The add-on options are only available in conjunction with the purchase of the Christmas Magic package or these regular packages: the RUBY, the PEARL, or the DIAMOND. To see what each of these regular packages includes please click here. I will be posting information on the Christmas Magic package and add-ons in the next couple days right here on my blog.

You might be wondering what the difference is between a mini session and a regular session, so here's the break down.

Mini Sessions:
* Choose either a traditional session at Oak Park in Riverside or Friends University or an urban session in downtown Wichita.
* The session fee is $60 and covers the photographer's time and talent during and after the session.
* These sessions will last about 40 minutes.
* 10-12 proofs will be shown.

Regular Sessions:
*Choose any location that you would like, we can work together to find what location will be best for your portraits and your family.
* The session fee is $100 and covers the photographer's time and talent during and after the session, and a $50 print credit towards your print purchase.
* These sessions last about 1-2 hours.
* At least 25 proofs will be shown.

I LOVE Families | Sarah Shah | Wichita, KS Family Lifestyle Photographer

I am so excited to show off some of this family's portrait session. The weather was nice, the location was awesome, and their chemistry was perfect. I could not have asked for a better session.

They are a family of five kids and they are so much fun! We had a blast and laughed a lot. This family was nominated for my Giving Is Awesome contest.

Their Grandparents joined us for their portrait session and they are so youth at heart. I loved getting to know them and seeing their love for each other. They are approaching their 50th anniversary and I loved seeing that he couldn't keep his eyes off her even after all those years. <3

I had the opportunity to shoot this high school senior's portraits. He is linebacker at a high school here in town. It was an on-location session in a park and downtown. We couldn't have picked a nicer day for this session. I had a great time getting to meet you and your parents!

Mini Accordion Albums

I think these are the cutest! I love them!
These mini accordion albums are 3x3 size and are given free with a print order of $150 or more. The front cover will include the person's first initial or the family's last name. There are 6 photos chosen by me for the inside.

Looking for High School Seniors graduating in May 2009

Sarah Shah Portraits is currently seeking High School students that will be graduating in May 2009 for our Senior Rep Program. June, July, and August are the best months for Senior Portraits to be taken. The flowers are still in bloom and make a great background. Waiting until September to take portraits is not ideal, since students are then focusing on school activities.

In exchange for promoting Sarah Shah Portraits exclusively during your senior year, Reps will receive the following free when a minimum of an $80 purchase has been.

• 45 rep cards with your image to hand out to friends
• 2 images watermarked and sized for web use on MySpace, Facebook, etc.
